The Forum for Belgian Research in the History of Women, Gender and Sexualities organises its first Master Theses Day.
Eight recently graduated Masters in History from the different universities in Belgium will present at this occasion their research in gender history. Two main themes structure this morning event. The first session, “between de personal and the political” deals with the body in a broad sense, encompassing its dimension of (medical) care, intimacy and apartheid. The second area of research focuses on the life trajectories of women from the 15th to the 20th century, whether in terms of their professional activity, their religious commitment or their involvement in political movements.
Presentations are held in Dutch and French, assistance with translation is available for the Q&A.
