Master’s theses day in gender history: save the date ! (25/11/2026)

The Forum for Belgian Research in the History of Women, Gender and Sexualities organises its second Master’s Theses Day.

Eight recently graduated Masters in History from different universities in Belgium will present at this occasion their research in gender history. Two main themes structure this event. The first four presentations focus on women’s personal stories, emotions and experiences, forming an initial theme on the private sphere spanning the 18th to the 20th century. The second research theme, on emancipation, focuses on the organisation of movements or gatherings of women, lesbians or intersex people in the second half of the 20th century.

Presentations are held in Dutch and French, assistance with translation is available for the Q&A.
