In 2025, the AVG-Carhif celebrates 30 years of existence. We’d like to invite you to a festive afternoon on Wednesday 4 June from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
An exhibition featuring impressions from our collections will be on display from 27 May until the end of June 2025.
Program
2 p.m. to 3.30 p.m.: Open visit of the depot, the renovated reading room and a small temporary exhibition

3.30-4 p.m.: Word of welcome and retrospective by Els Flour (archivist), with video testimonials
4pm-5.30pm: Discussion on the past, present and future of archive centres focusing on the history of women, gender and sexualities. Moderator: Prof. Henk de Smaele (co-chair of the AVG / University of Antwerp)
